Anxiety Manage or Eliminate

Jo Dimoska

Is Anxiety Something You Manage or Something You Eliminate?

Anxiety—it’s a heavy word, isn’t it? For some, it’s a passing worry. For others, it’s a constant battle, stealing their peace, joy, and confidence. But here’s a question most people don’t stop to ask: Are we meant to just manage anxiety forever, or can we actually eliminate it at its root?
Yep, we’re going there. Let’s talk about it.

The “Managing Anxiety” Mindset

We’ve all heard it before—breathe, journal, meditate, take a walk, pop a pill. We’re taught that anxiety is just part of life and that managing it is the best we can do. And don’t get me wrong, these tools can absolutely help. They offer relief, they create space, and they can be a lifesaver in tough moments.
But here’s the real talk: If we’re just managing anxiety, are we accepting it as a permanent part of who we are? Are we unknowingly keeping ourselves stuck?

What If Anxiety Is Trying to Tell You Something?

What if anxiety isn’t something to be numbed or fought against, but something to be understood? What if it’s your body’s way of waving a big red flag, saying, “Hey, something’s not right here!”
Think about it—when your car’s check engine light comes on, do you just cover it with a sticker and hope for the best? Of course not. You check under the hood. Anxiety works the same way. Instead of endlessly coping, what if we got curious and uncovered what’s really going on beneath the surface—old wounds, limiting beliefs, fear of stepping into our power?

The “Eliminating Anxiety” Perspective

Here’s where we flip the script. What if anxiety isn’t a life sentence? What if, instead of just learning to live with it, we could heal at the source? That doesn’t mean pretending it doesn’t exist or forcing positivity—it means doing the deep inner work so that anxiety no longer controls your life.
Healing is possible. Breaking free is possible. You are not meant to live in a constant state of stress and fear.

So, What Do You Believe?

Now, I want to hear from you. Do you think anxiety is just something we have to deal with forever, or do you believe in the possibility of true healing? Have you ever had a moment where anxiety lost its grip on you?
